Healthy Land, Healthy Food

About Us

We are a family-owned, regenerative farm situated amongst the Baraboo Bluffs where we raise grass-finished beef and lamb, pasture-raised laying hens, broiler chickens, and pigs.

We also grow a wide variety of organic produce and market maple syrup and honey produced off our farm.

Our farm began when Ron and Maureen Bula purchased a 160-acre farm amongst the Baraboo Hills back in the 1990's.

What started out as a part time hobby farm, producing healthier food for our family. Over time the farm diversified and grew to supply our local communities with high-quality meats and produce.

Our Offerings

We farm regeneratively, meaning that our top priority is improving soil health. Soil health can be defined as the capacity of a soil to serve a vital living ecosystem that supports our water cycle, nutrient cycle, carbon cycle, and biodiversity.

Availability of our products can vary seasonally. Our focus is on the health of our animals, our land, and our family which can mean that availability of our products can vary season to season.

How We Farm

We farm regeneratively, meaning that our top priority is improving soil health. Soil health can be defined as the capacity of a soil to serve a vital living ecosystem that supports our water cycle, nutrient cycle, carbon cycle, and biodiversity.

We actively improve soil health by adaptively managing our farmlands with a variety of conservation practices. First and foremost, we have transitioned much of our croplands to diverse, perennial pastures that support our rotationally grazed livestock. Our pigs and poultry still require supplemental feed though. So, we also manage croplands with a diverse rotation of non-GMO grains and hay. These crops are all no-till planted and followed by a cover crop so that our fields are never bare.

Altogether this helps us to improve our soils while producing healthy, nutrient-dense food.
